# MCP access tokens

> Let an MCP client or AI agent work in your workspace as you, with your current role and the same approvals and limits.

Entryway has a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint. With a personal access token, an MCP-compatible client or agent can work in one workspace as you, for example to read your content, leads, sequences and Vault, or to prepare drafts.

## Create a token

1. Open **Settings → Integrations & API** and choose **Manage access tokens**.
2. Enter a **Client name** so you can recognize the token later.
3. Choose how many days until it expires (1 to 90).
4. Choose **Create token** and copy it straight away. It is shown only once.

The page also shows the **Endpoint** address to give your client. Clients send the token as a bearer token in the `Authorization` header.

Each member can have up to 10 active tokens.

## What a token can do

* A token acts as **you**, in **one workspace**, with the role you held when you created it.
* It can use only the actions the MCP endpoint offers. It cannot sign in to the app, accept invitations, create workspaces or manage tokens.
* Everything it does goes through the same permission, approval, opt-out and limit checks as the app. A token cannot approve on behalf of a role you do not hold, and nothing it prepares is sent without the usual approval.

## Revoking tokens

Choose **Revoke** next to a token to stop it immediately. Tokens are also disabled automatically if your role changes or you leave the workspace. The list shows each token's owner, role, status and when it was last used.

<Warning>
  Treat a token like a password. Do not share it or put it in code that others can read. If you
  think a token has been exposed, revoke it and create a new one.
