# Connecting LinkedIn accounts

> Connect a LinkedIn account through hosted sign-in, keep it healthy, and resume it safely after a problem.

A connected LinkedIn account is the sender for your campaigns, posts, comments and replies. You can draft, build your Vault and save work without one; a connection is needed only before anything is sent or read from LinkedIn, and every send is still approved first.

## Before you connect

* Connecting needs a **paid plan**. The preview does not include a LinkedIn connection. See [Plans and billing](/get-started/plans-and-billing).
* An **owner or admin** connects accounts.
* Your plan sets how many LinkedIn profiles you can connect: 1 on Solo, 3 on Team and 10 on Agency, plus any extra profiles you buy.

## Connect an account

1. Open **Settings → LinkedIn accounts** and choose **Connect LinkedIn**. You can also connect from the **Connect** stage of a [guided campaign](/campaigns/overview).
2. A hosted, secure LinkedIn sign-in opens. Sign in to LinkedIn there. Entryway never sees or stores your LinkedIn password.
3. When you come back, Entryway verifies the connection with the provider before linking the account to your workspace. The account then shows as **Connected**.

The connection request is short-lived and tied to the person and workspace that started it.

## Account status

| Status | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Connected** | The account is healthy and can be used, within its [limits](/safety/linkedin-limits) |
| **Resume required** | Something interrupted the connection, such as a LinkedIn sign-in check. Nothing sends from this account until you deal with it |

## Reconnect and resume

If an account needs attention, choose **Reconnect** to sign in again, then **Resume verified sender**. Resuming checks that it is the same LinkedIn account as before.

Reconnecting never replays work. Anything that was blocked stays blocked until you preview and approve it again.

## Per-account settings

Next to each connected account:

* **Limits & hours** lets an owner or admin lower daily limits and set working hours. See [LinkedIn limits](/safety/linkedin-limits).
* **Import allowance** sets how many people the account may import from LinkedIn searches each day. Owners and admins can lower it or clear it to stop imports, and confirm whether the account has a verified Sales Navigator subscription. If an account has no daily search allowance, imports from it stay blocked.

## Removing an account
