# Campaigns overview

> Two ways to reach prospects: the guided campaign flow, or building lists and sequences yourself.

A campaign is a list of people plus a sequence of LinkedIn invitations and messages sent from one connected account. You can build one in two ways.

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Guided campaign" icon="wand-magic-sparkles">
    Start from **Leads → Find your first prospects** or **Sequences → New campaign**. Entryway
    finds people who match your audience and builds the sequence from a recommended playbook, side
    by side.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Build it yourself" icon="sliders">
    Import or search for people in [Leads](/campaigns/audiences), design the steps on the
    [sequence canvas](/campaigns/sequences), then review and activate it.
  </Card>
</Columns>

Both ways end in the same place: an approved sequence, a chosen sender and audience, and [launch checks](/campaigns/launch-checks) that must pass before anything sends.

## The guided campaign flow

The flow shows five stages at the top of the screen.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Business">
    Confirm your business on one screen: your website, what your business does, what you help
    customers achieve, who you want to reach (job titles), and optionally industries, what they are
    working through and a tone. This comes from and saves to your [Business Vault](/vault/overview).
    Next, the **Who should this campaign reach?** panel turns your audience into a LinkedIn search.
    Edits there apply to this campaign only and do not change your Vault.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Plan">
    Entryway recommends a playbook: a ready-made sequence of steps. Fill in the **Campaign
    details, used in every message**, such as why you are reaching out. They are prefilled from your
    Vault, and a sample message shows how they read. Choose **Build my campaign**, or **Start from a
    blank sequence** if you prefer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect">
    Connect the LinkedIn account the campaign sends from. This needs a paid plan, and an owner or
    admin connects it. See [LinkedIn accounts](/workspace/linkedin-accounts).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Search & build">
    The screen splits into two lanes. **Finding your people** runs your search on your own LinkedIn
    account and lists the real people who match. **Building your campaign** shows the sequence, and
    if AI drafting is available it rewrites each message in your voice from your Vault. Choose
    **See full sequence** to inspect every step. When the summary says **Campaign ready**, it shows
    how many people, actions, branches and messages the campaign has.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Launch">
    Run the launch checks, review and approve the first messages, and press **Launch now**. See
    [Launch checks](/campaigns/launch-checks).
  </Step>
</Steps>

While the search is still running, new matches join the campaign automatically. Running the launch checks pauses the search, and everyone found so far stays saved.

## Good to know

* **Up to 1,000 people per campaign.** For a larger audience, split it into several campaigns, for example by location or seniority.
* **Your campaign is saved as you go.** You can leave at any stage and come back. **Start another campaign** begins a fresh one; earlier campaigns stay in Sequences and Leads.
* **Any reply stops the sequence** for that person and lands in your [Inbox](/work/inbox).
* **Who can do what:** owners, admins and operators build and launch campaigns. Owners, admins and reviewers approve messages. Viewers can look but not change anything.
